You Are Not Broken! Sex During Midlife and How To Improve It Instantly - Kelly Casperson

This week’s episode is a big one! Dr Shauna is joined by the incredible Dr Kelly Casperson - a leading and internationally recognised advocate for women’s sexual health. Based in the US, Dr Kelly is a board certified urologist, author, speaker, podcast host and sex expert, with a passion to empower women to live their best love lives.

In her work as a urologist, Dr Kelly found the differences between treating male and female patients profound - when men had issues with sex, prescribing testosterone or viagra was encouraged and common, but when women lost libido during the perimenopause or were experiencing symptoms like vaginal dryness, they weren’t taken seriously.

In this conversation, Dr Shauna and Dr Kelly are talking all things sex during midlife. Why do some women find sex painful during menopause, and what can be done about it? How uncomfortable is vaginal dryness, really? What role does HRT play? And what can you do to improve your sex life during this transitional period?
